Pride in Halton 2025 – A Day of Celebration, Community, and Solidarity

Linnets Field came alive for Pride in Halton 2025, and what a day it was! From start to finish, the atmosphere was filled with colour, music, and a powerful sense of unity.

The celebrations began with a Pride march led by students from Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, proudly carrying the rainbow forward to the main event. Their energy and spirit set the tone for the day, reminding everyone that Pride is about visibility, courage, and community.

We were blown away by the support from local organisations, including Wincanton, Halton Police, St John’s Ambulance, Halton Libraries, Christians with Pride, and so many more. Their presence and encouragement showed how deeply Pride is rooted in the heart of our community.

The stage was alive with talent throughout the day — from dazzling student dance groups and first-time performers to powerhouse singers like Kelly Creswell. Drag royalty Sheela Vim lit up the crowd, while tribute acts brought the house down with stunning performances of Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, Boy George, and Jimmy Somerville.

As the sun began to set, the day drew to a close with a moving AIDS vigil, reminding us of Pride’s roots in activism, remembrance, and resilience.

It was a fantastic day of joy, love, and togetherness — and we’re already looking forward to making Pride in Halton 2026 even bigger and brighter!
